One of Sheffield's top-rated cafés with ‘perfect’ TripAdvisor rating announces closure

A popular Sheffield café and restaurant, which is one of the city’s top-rated places to grab a coffee, has announced it is closing.

Zefi’s Coffee Lounge, on Commonside in Walkley, is ranked 10th on TripAdvisor’s list of the best places for coffee and tea in the city, and has a perfect rating of 5.0 based on 31 customers reviews.

It is set to close for good from this Saturday, January 26, the owners have announced, due to what they described as ‘new ventures’.

“We would like to thank all our valued customers for their support over the past 3 years,” they said in a post on the café’s Facebook page.

“There will be a new restaurant opening in our place after a refurb and we wish them every success.”

The news has sparked disappointment among both diners and former employees, with one customer describing how she was ‘heartbroken’ to hear of the closure.
