Volunteers, supporters and members of the community turned out in force to celebrate the history and future of a Sheffield library.
Visitors to Broomhill LIbrary dressed in Victorian finery to celebrate the buidling’s heritage with others decked out 1950s style to mark Sheffield City Council taking on the building to open the library in 1957.
Broomhill will be run by a partnership of volunteers and the city council after a shake-up of the library service.
The event was held on National Libraries’ Day.
