SHALL we dance? For much of the time in recent weeks it’s been a case of rain, rain, rain.
But fortunately the crowds at the Big Dance in Rotherham weren’t singing and dancing in the rain.
The spectacular showcase of dance talent formed part of the National Big Dance fortnight.
And just for a change this damp squib of a summer it saw All Saints’ Square teeming with people rather than with raindrops.
The National Big Dance fortnight is happening all over the UK in order to showcase the talent of various dance groups.
And in Rotherham dancers from across the borough came to strut their funky stuff on a large stage.
The event featured energetic dance acts from across Rotherham, including street dance, contemporary and hip hop.
And no one needed to dance on an empty stomach.
The people from Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food in the town centre were there to put on cooking demonstrations throughout the day.
