Sheffield’s Showroom Cinema is leading the creation of a new network which aims to bring specialised, British and archive films to a wider audience.
Film Hub North will be a group of cinemas, art venues and festivals in the North of England, which will enhance opportunities for people to learn more about film.
Showroom/Workstation is working with the National Media Museum in Bradford to bring the network to life.
Showroom CEO Ian Wild said: “First of all we are calling for members to sign up. The more we can encourage British made, specialised and archive film distribution and viewing, the better for the future of the British film industry and film culture across the whole of the North.”
