TICKETS are now on sale for the first shows at Sheffield’s 2013 Last Laugh Comedy Festival.

The festival returns in October – and top comics Ed Byrne and Jason Manford have already announced stand-up dates.

Festival organisers said: “Thank you to every one of you who supported the 2012 Last Laugh Comedy Festival by buying tickets for the gigs.

“We’ll be back in October 2013 with a host of new shows across the city.”

Byrne, famous for his performances on Mock The Week, will be appearing at Sheffield City Hall on Saturday, October 5.

The City Hall said: “A self-confessed misery since the age of 23, Ed is now in his forties.

“While for others this might result in a crisis that prompts the purchase of a sportscar, Ed embraces middle age with open arms.”

Manford, a former team captain on 8 out of 10 Cats, is appearing at the City Hall on Wednesday and Thursday, October 9 and 10.

He said: “I’m excited to be getting back to what I love the most – stand up.”
