A plus-size fashionista from Sheffield is celebrating after being chosen as the face of a new high street clothing collection.
With her locks of red hair and big smile, Georgina Grogan was a perfect choice to model Scarlett and Jo’s new collection for Evans.
The 20-year-old blogger joined a group of other curvaceous ladies from across the UK to help launch the ‘Roses are red, violets are blue, which one are you’ collection at a luxurious photo shoot.
Georgina, of Emerson Crescent, Parson Cross, said: “They made us feel so glamorous and we had a fantastic day. The clothes are absolutely beautiful. It’s important to show people you can look good and feel good no matter what size you are and no matter what the scales say.”
After leaving Chaucer School, Georgina attended Longley Park Sixth Form College before starting a retail career. While she was working, she set up her blog and it was so successful that in October last year she gave up her job to become a full-time blogger and social media manager.
Georgina’s blog, She Might Be Loved, discusses a range of topics, including fashion, beauty and being plus-size.
She said: “I have always been plus size but I have also always been into my make-up and fashion. I dress for my shape – not just what is fashionable.”
Georgina is currently a size 20-22, but says she feels fabulous.
She said: “Even though I may have been bullied at school I was still happy in who I was. I wanted to look the best I could be, without other people influencing me.
l The ‘Roses are red, violets are blue’ collection is available in selected Evans stores and online at evans.co.uk – sizes range from 14-32 with prices from £35-£85.
