One of Sheffield’s oldest collectives of artists is swapping studios for the great outdoors.

Heeley Art Group, which is 110 years old, is set to host its next exhibition at Peak District beauty spot The Moorland Discovery Centre, Longshaw.

Work from members, including traditional paintings and less conventional pieces using mixed media, will be on display from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, June 15, and Sunday, June 16.

The group, which also hosts regular exhibitions in Sheffield’s Winter Garden, is also offering visitors the chance to make some art of their own to take home as part of the event.

A spokesman for Heeley Art Group said: “This will be a general exhibition, where artists can show any genre they choose.”
