Death and religion are to be explored by a Sheffield artist at her debut solo exhibition next month.

Painting, embroidery and sculpture inspired by medieval religious artwork and ancient myth will be on offer at The Art Of Death free exhibition by Sharon Mossbeck.

An obsession with mortality and the question of what happens after death has led the atheist to produce the pop-art style pieces over a five-year period.

The show runs from April 4 to 16 at Gage Gallery, Lion Works, Ball Street.
