PUTTING a human-cartoon double act on TV is one thing – but taking it on the road...

Somehow the brains behind the show Big Howard and Little Howard have managed it and they steer the stage show version of the kids favourite to South Yorkshire next month.

Little Howard’s Big Show follows three hit series of the BBC One regular Little Howard’s Big Question, best-selling titles Little Howard’s Unpleasant Lullaby and Little Howard’s Big Book and a nomination for a Perrier Award.

On this occasion the pair find themselves in trouble with the Queen. A sinister inspector is lurking and our heroes must perform the show of their young, and not-quite-so-young, lives to save Big Howard from jail.

The new live show features songs, sketches, magic, a Barnsley pigeon, a new (invisible) character, The Royal Monkey Philharmonic Orchestra and a large frying pan. The Howards are at The Civic, Barnsley, on September 18, at 2pm. Tickets: £10/£8
