Dancers battle for cash prize in Sheffield

Breakdancers are set to battle for a £200 prize in the Fearless present Dope and Mean competition at Sheffield’s forthcoming Tramlines Festival.

Hung Van Nguyen, competition co-organiser, said: “We’re raising our game, and more than 20 people from around the country have already signed up.”

The qualifiers will take place in Embrace nightclub, Burgess Street, in the city centre, on Sunday, July 21, from noon to 4.45pm.

The semi-finals and finals will follow on the festival’s world music stage in the Peace Gardens, from 5.45pm.
