A wildlife artist recently back from a trip to the Arctic chaired the annual meeting of the Chesterfield Art Club.
Club president Pollyanna Pickering led the meeting for the group, which was founded in 1929 and now has 63 members.
Chairwoman Marilyn Madin reported Andrew Aucock had been made a Honorary Member for services to the club.
The meeting was also told that the £660 raised by the club by painting tree decoration at the Crooked Spire Christmas Tree Festival has been presented to the Rev Patrick Coleman for church funds.
Events this year will include a joint exibition with the Chesterfield Photography and Film Clubs at St Andrew’s Church, Newbold Road, on April 18 and 19.
