A best-selling author met budding writers at a Sheffield sixth form.

Dorothy Koomson - whose hit book The Ice Cream Girls has been made into a three-part television drama, the first part of which was screened last week - called in to Longley Park sixth form. She spoke to students who had won prizes for their writing at the Horninglow Road college.

The author also gave a talk about her latest book, The Rose Petal Beach, in Sheffield’s Central Library on Friday afternoon.
