A SHEFFIELD businessman took a giant step for charity – by running the London Marathon for the British Red Cross.

Paul Straw, sales director at Georgia Pacific paper suppliers, Oughtibridge, ran the race last Sunday in 4 hours 17 minutes and raised £2,774.

He said: “The run, atmosphere, race-day experience and help I received from Red Cross was absolutely fantastic.

“The feeling you get when you cross the finish line and knowing you have helped raise money for such a worthwhile cause is amazing.

“It’s an experience I will never forget and I would highly recommend joining the fantastic Yorkshire Red Cross team.”
