Children help city charity

Have your say

CHILDREN at a city school have been clearing out their wardrobes to help raise money for Sheffield hospitals.

Youngsters at Norton Free Primary are the first in the city to sign up to the new ‘Bags for Change’ initiative, where pupils and their parents clear out their cupboards at home and donate the unwanted contents to the Sheffield Hospitals Charity.

All the profit raised goes towards the care and treatment of patients.

Headteacher Helena Button said: “Children grow so quickly and need their clothes replacing so this is the perfect solution as it clears space at home and helps others.”
