Ahead of Halloween 1,000 free pumpkins are up for grabs for a creepy carving contest – thanks to Sheffield’s Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre and The Star.
To take part, fill in the coupon in today’s Star and exchange it for a free pumpkin in the Market Place at the shopping centre in Waterthorpe tomorrow, between 9am and 2pm, while stocks last.
Some 200 pumpkins will be given away on five different days, for participants to use to create spine-tingling Halloween masterpieces.
Once the deed is done, creepy carvers need to take a picture of their haunting handiwork and upload it to www.facebook.com/crystalpeaksshopping, or email firstname.lastname@example.org, to be in with a chance of winning £100 worth of shopping vouchers.
Lee Greenwood, Crystal Peaks centre manager, said: “The standard of entry for last year’s Halloween pumpkin competition was exceptionally high with some spooktacular and imaginative submissions such as a Lego pumpkin, a scene from Sleepy Hollow, and more.
“We’re looking forward to some even scarier entries this year, so get carving and show us how spooky you can be.”
