Poundland is recruiting 400 workers for the festive season to keep shelves stocked and stores running smoothly ahead of the big day.
Last month the budget chain announced it will keep all its stores closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day as a “thank you” to colleagues for their hard work over the past twelve months.

It will also be giving every colleague in November a book of £25 vouchers they can use in-store during December 2025 and January 2026.
Alan Smallman, retail director at Poundland, said: “After a busy year getting the business back on track our store teams are excited about delivering our best Christmas in years as our all-new seasonal ranges begin landing in store.
“Our people make the difference whatever the time of year, but at Christmas they play a special role looking after our customers.
“We look forward to welcoming new colleagues to our teams to help make this Christmas really special.”
