These are eight new or renovated bars and restaurants set to open in Sheffield in 2020.
Though not necessarily new, The Cavendish bar has undergone a 250k transformation and is set to reopen Saturday 25th January. It features a new lounge zone and gaming tables.
At the end of January, Matilda Bar - a new subterranean bar - will be opening in Sheffield. It promises cocktails, local craft beer, off-beat wines and spirits from Asia and Eastern Europe.

Taking over the space that used to host Nourish, Society is a new upscale gin bar set to open in February 2020 on Ecclesall Road.
Also new to Ecclesall Road is a craft beer bottle shop set to open in February 2020. It’s run by a husband and wife team under the name Craft and Berry.
After their St Paul’s restaurant closed, OISOI have announced two new venues opening in 2020. The first is a new venue with live music, food and holographic technology. They announced an early 2020 opening last year.
A space on Carver Street is set to become a new co-working space and public rooftop bar in summer 2020 if plans go ahead. The bar promises magnificent views across Sheffield.
OISOI’s second venue will be a flagship restaurant set to open in an unknown Sheffield location in 2020. They hope to be open by Autumn 2020.
Frasers Group has announced plans to open a new luxury store in Meadowhall that will include a champagne bar and cafe alongside fashion and lifestyle areas.
