There will also be a prize to the company that guesses closest to the total number of goals in the tournament (if there is a tie-break, the company that signs up earliest will take the win).

For this prize, Sheffield FC are offering one of their 1857 Heritage Gift Packs.

This taste of Sheffield heritage includes a Copa Sheffield FC jersey and commemorative ball.

To be in for a chance at winning the prizes, businesses need to enter by May 27, as the teams will be drawn on June 3 at Sheffield FC’s ground, known as ‘The Home of Football’.

Hydra Creative will also be offering each company that enters a free in-depth SEO audit and a website review worth a total of £1,300.

All entries will also receive an exclusive discount on the Sheffield FC 1857 advertising package, which will be discounted to £1,500 from £1,857.

Richard Tims, Sheffield FC chairman, said: “As the ‘world’s first football club’ we are excited about the European Championships this summer and the great atmosphere it will create across the nation.

"We want to tap into that jubilant mood and work with local businesses to help create some friendly competition, along with raising money for charity.

"We see working with Hydra Creative on this sweepstake as a great way to achieve that, as well as strengthening our working partnership with them.”

Keith Tarry, business development manager at Hydra Creative, said: “With the local economy starting to get back to some sort of normality, we put our heads together with our good friends at Sheffield FC to come up with a way to help local businesses start interacting with each other again and also raise some money for charity.

"We saw the European Championships as the perfect event to help us do that.”
