Who can you spot having a good time on the Peak District's heritage line Peak Rail?

The rails are silent and the steam isn’t hissing along the countryside at the moment but for many Peak Rail, with its bygone days of steam and heritage, will always have a fond place in their hearts.

The line forms part of the old Midland Railway line between Manchester Central and London St Pancras which was closed in 1968. Peak Rail currently operates on approximately 4 miles between Rowsley South Station and Matlock Platform 2 taking visitors on a nostalgic journey through the dales and fields.

See who you can spot in these great retro pictures going back to 1997?
