The Star is launching a new retro Facebook group to share all your Sheffield memories
Relive and reminisce royal visits, nights out, community gatherings as well as long forgotten buildings and shops with The Star’s new retro Facebook page.
We want to hear your memories about life in the city from years gone by – be it favourite pubs, looking back on your school days or reminiscing about big events – please share them with us.
The Star’s retro reporter, Lucy Ball, said: “We are creating a Facebook page dedicated purely to retro content so we can remember the past and relive forgotten moments together.”
With hundred of thousands, if not millions of photos in The Star’s physical and digital archive we will be bringing out pictures, articles and sometimes videos from years gone by to remind you of how the Steel City was.
Lucy added: “We want this to become a community for us all so go rummage in those boxes in your loft, share pictures of the street you grew up on or the flyer for the night club where you had your first kiss and see what memories they bring back for other people.
"The new retro Facebook page can be found here and we would love to see you over there taking a walk down memory lane with us.”
We want to continue investing in our retro content and telling the fantastic story of Sheffield but we need YOUR support.
