5. Ryan Ward
Ryan Ward smashed a brick over the head of neighbour Craig Wass because he believed he was going to give evidence against him in a trial. He was jailed for a minimum of 14 years in 2009. He could be back on the streets as early as 2023. Photo: Ross Parry

7. Adele Silkstone and Jamie Lee Osborne
Osborne was jailed for 22 years for murdering a newly-wed milkman with a ceremonial dagger in Barnsley in 2002 but later had his sentence reduced by two years because he had been suffering from cannabis psychosis at the time of the murder.
