So here’s a selection of photos which will hopefully transport frustrated bus passengers back to a time when you could travel in style by bus across Sheffield in the 1960s, 70s and 80s, when during the halcyon days of public transport in the region children could travel for just 2p and adults for 8p. As calls grow for buses to be brought back under public control more than 35 years after they were deregulated, these nostalgic photos show how much has changed.
