High Storrs school has been at its current site on High Storrs Road since 1933 – but originally opened on March 10 1880 as the Central Higher Grade School in the centre of Sheffield.
From the 1940s until 1968, the building housed separate Girls and Boys grammar schools. These were merged become a single comprehensive school in 1969.
Past pupils include actor Tom Ellis, footballers Kyle Walker and Jack Lester, and Michelin-starred chef Tessa Bramley.
