Sheffield is gearing up for the return of its annual Half Marathon event in April, with runners across the city and further afield in training for the popular race.

The race will be held on Sunday, April 7 this year.

Ahead of the event, we have delved into our archive and pulled out some great pictures from the late 1990s and early 2000s so you can relive every aching muscle again.
