Remembering the good times at Sheffield's Hanrahan's bar

The iconic Hanrahan’s bar may soon be turned into flats but who remembers the cocktails and the nights out on Glossop Road?

It opened in the 1980's as an American-style bar and diner but by the mid 1990s and after a huge refurb it became a bar and one the places to be for a night out.

Over the years it has been known as Casa and later Loch Fyne, the seafood resaturant, but that has now closed too and an application has been submitted to convert the building into appartments.

Take a look back at these old pictures which show the distinctive red brick building in its heyday.
