Many people have fond memories of the Millhouses Lido and the Rivelin Valley Park paddling pools were revamped in 2013 but these pictures also show a rarer glimpse of the outdoor pool at Longley Park during the war. That was when staycations were called Holidays at Home, promoted by the Government during another time when a world crisis meant it was hard to travel.
