Do you recognise anyone from these pictures from 2009 – celebrating Sheffield's iconic Limit nightclub?

Now demolished, The Limit on West Street is sometimes referred to as ‘the place that U2 once played when they were starting out’, but it was a venue that saw a stream of star acts grace its stage over the years.

In 2009, a special celebratory event was held to celebrate the vast basement venue in West Street to launch Neil Anderson’s latest Dirty Stop Outs Guide to 1980s Sheffield, with a special edition all about the club that once, according to legend, hosted a secret warm-up gig by Pink Floyd.

But do you recognise anyone from these pictures from 11 years ago, remembering the popular venue?
