The Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign are holding an online rally this year to commemorate the 36th anniversary of the famous flashpoint in the 1984-5 miners’ strike.

Wednesday, 17th June 2020, 3:17 pm

Usually the rally takes place near the site of the former British Coal coking plant near Rotherham to commemorate the mass picket of June 18, 1984 which was called by striking miners and repeat the campaign’s call for an independent inquiry into violent policing on the day.

The event will be live-streamed via the campaign’s Facebook page, starting at 1pm on Saturday, June 20.
