Are you among the faces pictured at this Peak District landmark down the years?

Cromford Mills is part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site and is a popular spot to go to for those living in or visiting the Peak District.

Cromford Mills is the home of Sir Richard Arkwright’s first mill complex, birthplace of the modern factory system.

The free to enter site welcomes thousands of people annually who step back in time to see the world’s first successful water powered cotton spinning mill which dates back to 1771.

The site is now supported and run by The Arkwright Society - an educational charity devoted to the rescue of the industrial heritage buildings and helping to preserve the precious built and natural landscape in and around Cromford.
