From horse-drawn cabs to the old Pig and Whistle pub - a century of life on Sheffield's famous Leopold Street
Leopold Street in Sheffield city centre is probably best known for Leopold Square, a place to drop in for food, cocktails or some dancing.

These Sheffield Archive (https://www.picturesheffield.com/) photographs date back as far as 1900, when horse-drawn cabs still plied for hire, and also feature the Grand Hotel, music firm Wilson Peck’s and the Central School.
Do you remember the Pig and Whistle pub, pictured in 1979? It later became the Fountain Bar.
