1. Pasternoster Lift
Hidden away in the university's iconic Arts Tower, the lift is one of only two in the UK, it has no doors and works on continuous loop without stopping.

2. Sheffield General Cemetery Catacombs
While most Sheffielders know about the general cemetery, did you know it also has catacombs built into the hillside? There are two rows of catacombs but this method of burial was unpopular and only ten bodies were laid to rest in the catacombs in the first 10 years.

A brick foundation and piles of building materials are all that remains of this World War II POW camp.
