It’s amazing to think that a little place like Killamarsh alone once had three railway stations! Here in pictures are 10 Sheffield rail stations that we have lost – some are gone forever, while clues to the existence of the others remain if you know where to look.
5. Tinsley Station

6. Killamarsh Central Station
The old Killamarsh Central Station, one of three stations in the Derbyshire village on the edge of Sheffield, which opened in June 1892. At one time services ran to London Marylebone on the Great Central Main Line. It closed in March 1963 and in 2012 campaigners fought unsuccessfully to revamp station buildings that had been removed to make way for houses on Station Road into a community hub Photo: Submitted
7. Bridgehouses Station

8. Broughton Lane Station
