We’ve certainly adopted lots of celebratory traditions from the US, especially in recent years – Halloween never used to be such a big deal here, for example.

Father’s Day is another import – it falls on the third Sunday of the month in the UK and began in the USA in 1908 as a way of celebrating our dads.
