Beyoutiful Boutique, of White Rose Business Park, Halfway, offers training in injecting lip fillers and botox, as well as instruction in treatments such as microblading and breast and bum enhancements, and claim their courses are industry approved.

However, many former students say that they have been refused insurance by firms who say the courses the company provides are not accredited - leaving their ‘qualifications’ essentially useless.

Sheffield Council trading standards have now confirmed to the Star that they are currently ‘reviewing complaints’ received relating to this business and will consider whether any ‘compliance issues’ need to be addressed.

The complaints are believed to come from former employees and students of the firm, many of whom have also been sharing their experiences on social media.

Former employee, Layla Barnes, said she left the company in December after working with them for around six weeks.

“I didn’t want to be associated with the company anymore,” she said.

“They are selling courses to students as being accredited which are not.

People are spending thousands of pounds on courses that are not worth the money they are printed on. I think it is immoral.”

And former student, Amanda Cameron-Hendy, who trained with Beyoutiful Boutique when they were based in Derbyshire, said she was declined cover by specialist business insurer Insync on the grounds the firm was not accredited with industry body CPD.

Beyoutiful Boutique Ltd - which was based in Chesterfield - was dissolved on July 2, 2019, just three days before Beyoutiful Boutique Hair and Beauty Training Academy Ltd was incorporated in Sheffield.

The Star has contacted Beyoutiful Boutique about the allegations and is awaiting a response.

A Facebook group set up by disappointed students has attracted hundreds of messages from people saying they have been scammed by the firm.

Other training providers have since got in touch with the students to offer them properly accredited retraining at discounted rates.
