The 10 Sheffield areas with the most coronavirus cases as second national lockdown looms

The latest figures have revealed the 10 Sheffield neighbourhoods with the most coronavirus cases as the city braces for a second national lockdown.

Sheffield along with the rest of the country faces the same tighter restrictions we saw in the spring, which will come into force on Thursday.

These new measures will see household mixing indoors and outdoors banned along with the closure of pubs, restaurants and non-essential retail.

One area of the city had 76 new positive Covid-19 cases in the last week, Public Health England data for the week ending October 27 confirmed.

The results are based on testing in hospitals and the wider community, as part of the government’s coronavirus testing programme, that were recorded by October 10.

Find out which areas of the town have been worst affected by the virus below.
