Firefighters are battling a blaze at a South Yorkshire farm where 5,000 tonnes of wood chippings caught fire.

The fire broke out at a farm on Lidget Lane, Bramley, Rotherham, this morning and has caused a huge smoke plume that can be seen for miles.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: “If you live in the area, please shut your doors and windows.
