NHS England figures out today reveal that 275 hospital patients who tested positive for Covid-19 have now died in the city – up one since yesterday.

Another 75 coronavirus hospital deaths in England have been announced today, with the number of patients who have died in hospitals after contracting the virus now 27,359.

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has recorded 192 deaths, which is up three on yesterday.

There have been 174 deaths in Rotherham, which is the same as yesterday and 126 in Barnsley, which is also the same as yesterday.

All of the patients whose deaths have been announced today were between 43 and 100 years old and all had known underlying health conditions.

Lockdown measures have eased this week and people can now meet in groups of six outdoors.
