A total of 202 people have now died after contracting Covid-19, according to NHS England figures.

The official death toll for England now stands at 20,483 after anther 352 deaths were recorded since yesterday.

In Rotherham, 104 patients have died in hospitals – an increase of five since yesterday.

A total of 80 patients have died in Barnsley, an increase of one since yesterday.

And in Doncaster, the death toll remains at 95, which is the same as yesterday.

The UK remains on lockdown in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

People are only allowed to leave home for shopping, exercise once a day, medical needs and essential travel to work.

The laws are enforceable by the police.

Lockdown is to be reviewed by the government next week.
