Out of 1,316 confirmed cases in the city, a total of 114 patients have now died in Sheffield hospitals since the coronavirus outbreak began, according to NHS England.

There have been 46 deaths in Barnsley – an increase of one compared to yesterday’s figure and the death toll in Doncaster has gone up by four with 41 fatalities recorded.

Rotherham's death toll has not changed since yesterday, with 32 deaths recorded in total.

Across England a total of 11,656 hospital patients have now died – up 761 compared to figures released yesterday.

The UK remains in lockdown in a bid to halt the spread of Covid-19.

People can only leave their homes for shopping, medical supplies or appointments, essential travel to work and exercise once a day.

It has not yet been revealed when the measures will be relaxed.
