It remains at 286 and has not increased since last Monday.

There have been 225 deaths in Doncaster, which is the same as it was yesterday and there have been 194 deaths in Rotherham, which is also the same as yesterday.

There has been one additional death in Barnsley, with the town’s death toll now 147.

According to NHS England, a total of 28,904 hospital patients have died after testing positive for Covid-19 during the pandemic.Fifteen patients, aged between 42 and 93, have died since yesterday and all had known underlying health conditions.

The figures do not include care home deaths or those in any other settings.

Lockdown measures were eased last weekend, with pubs and restaurants allowed to reopen.

Extra police officers were on duty across South Yorkshire.
