NHS England revealed today that another 123 hospital patients have died across the country after testing positive for Covid 19, with the death toll in Sheffield 274.

The figure does not include care home deaths or those in any other setting.

The number of hospital patients to have died in hospitals across England is now 27,282.

There have been 189 deaths recorded by the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, which is up two since yesterday; there have been 174 deaths in Rotherham, which is an increase of four and there have been 126 deaths in Barnsley, up one since yesterday.

Lockdown measures have been eased this week, with some schools opening up to more pupils and groups of six now able to meet up in open spaces.
