Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield ranked ninth best in UK based on Google reviews

The Royal Hallamshire Hospital on Glossop Road was ranked ninth best nationally when reviews were compiled.
It is currently rated at 4.1 stars on Google with a total of 511 reviews from patients.
Some of the most recent reviews describe the staff there being “super helpful,” while another said they have a “a top-notch service”.
For comparison, Northern General Hospital - also managed by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - has a rating on Google of 3.5 stars after 755 reviews.
The top spot nationally was taken by Golden Jubilee University National Hospital, in Clydebank, Scotland, which sits at 4.71 stars from 575 Google reviews.
Meanwhile, Newham University Hospital, in Plaistow, east London is ranked at the bottom of all 151 NHS hospitals across the UK with a rating of 2.17 stars from 1,797 reviews.
Dawn Yates, a health cost expert at Parents resource - which compiled the ratings - said: “A star rating tells you what a visit felt like, not how good the treatment was, so it should never put anyone off going to hospital when they need to.
“What these reviews do show is how much time people are losing, and for a lot of families a long wait means time off work, extra childcare and the cost of getting there and parking.
“If you're on a low income or certain benefits and you've been referred for hospital treatment or tests, you may be able to claim back your travel costs, so keep your receipts and ask at the hospital.”
