Here's how you can get a coronavirus test at Meadowhall

The coronavirus testing centre at Meadowhall is now accepting all patients with symptoms – but you need to book a test online before attending.

The Department of Health and Social Care today confirmed the news that the centre at the shopping centre’s car park is open to the general public.

In order to book a test, visit www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test and follow the instructions.

If you are successful in booking an appointment, you will be allocated the nearest testing centre to you which is open that day.

You must have an appointment for a test and cannot simply turn up and queue at the site.

The Meadowhall site was previously reserved for front line staff, but has now been opened to anyone who is symptomatic.

The symptoms people should look out for include a temperature, a dry cough and a loss of taste and / or smell.
