Full list of latest coronavirus figures in Yorkshire - as Sheffield confirms over 100 cases

The latest coronavirus figures for the UK show that Sheffield has more confirmed cases than anywhere else in Yorkshire.

Latest Public Health England figures reveal that as of yesterday there were 6,650 confirmed cases in the UK and 335 patients with Covid-19 have died so far.

In Yorkshire, there are 106 cases in Sheffield, followed by 35 in Leeds and 12 in Rotherham.

There are 10 confirmed cases in York, 11 in Barnsley, 10 in York and 9 in Doncaster.

Outside of London, which has the most cases, there are 137 cases in Birmingham, 42 in Newcastle, 41 in Nottingham and 37 in Manchester.

In an address to the nation from Downing Street last night, Prime Minister Boris Johnson placed the country on lockdown in a bid to slow the spread of Covid-19.

People can only leave their homes for essential shopping, essential travel to work, for medical needs and to exercise once a day.
