The 12,000-sq ft site boasts a cardio zone with all the latest equipment, a spin room, a yoga room, a functional zone and a resistance zone. Equipment includes a Yoke, farmer’s walk, barrels, top-of-the-range Indigo plate loaded equipment and more.

Open seven days a week, the site will feature a mezzanine floor and drill yard packed full of functional equipment where classes will take place.

The expansion of Millhouses creates 20 new jobs and, with up to £1.5m invested across the company to date, the management team say they are thrilled to reveal the company’s third facility.

Director Caroline Jepson said: “We're an independent company that is fortunate enough to have grown significantly over the last three years. We re-invested the success into a third site even though we were faced with the challenges of lockdown 1.0.

“We saw an opportunity to support more people in the Sheffield region with their physical and mental health needs - whilst at the time this was a risk, we are now confident more than ever that we did the right thing.”

There are plans in place to move Firehouse Fitness Hillsborough to larger premises in summer 2022. The company are also in talks with landlords at sites in Waverley and Ecclesfield with a view of acquiring two new sites by autumn next year.

Membership prices start from £19.99 per month and online bookings are available for members now through a new Firehouse Fitness app.
