‘Thoughtful and kind’ Liam Allen, from Rotherham, died in hospital after going into a fit from which he never recovered on Saturday, November 23.

The aspiring YouTuber made headlines when he saved his gran Jenny from choking two years ago. Liam’s funeral will take place today and the family have requested those who attend wear something green - Liam’s favourite colour.

A procession will pass Badsley Primary School, where Liam was a pupil, pausing outside the Badsley Moor Lane entrance at 8.30am before pausing at the Tennyson Road entrance so anyone who cannot attend the funeral service can be at the school to pay their respects.

The service will take place at East Herringthorpe Crematorium at 9am.

Liam leaves behind his heartbroken parents Paula and Dave, along with younger siblings Graci, Rory, Levi and baby Eavi.

Auntie Toni Connell said: “Everyone is welcome to attend but please, I cannot stress enough, make sure it's the right thing for your own children before you bring them.

“Liam was at the centre of everyone’s world. He was so special in his own way. We were there that night and were just pleading with him- please, please pull through. He will always have a special place in my heart. I was there to hold him soon as he was born and I was there to kiss him and tell him how much I loved him before he left.”
