Emergency services rush to Sheffield street and road closed after crash

Police closed a Sheffield road this afternoon and buses were diverted following a crash.

Manchester Road, Crosspool, was blocked in both directions following the crash at around 5pm.

Buses were diverted via Crookes Road following the crash, near the top of the playing fields at King Edward School.

An ambulance was later spotted arriving at the scene before an individual was taken to hospital.

The road has since reopened and South Yorkshire Police have been contacted for a comment.
