It details the number of cases reported across the city between September 30 and October 6.
Sheffield’s rate of infection as of October 5 was 398 per 100,000 people, putting the city in the top 10 of the worst affected places in the country.
Of those tested, 19.3 per cent of people are now testing positive, up from 3.1 per cent last month.
The Government is expected to impose a raft of new restrictions on many towns and cities in the North next week in a bid to halt the spread of Covid-19 in the worst hit areas.
Local lockdowns, which are already in place elsewhere, are a possibility.
Sheffield Council Leader, Councillor Julie Dore, said: “We must do whatever it takes to stem the spread of the virus in our communities. We cannot achieve this unless we all play our part.
“If this means more stringent measures to protect the public then we do it for as long as it takes to stop this dangerous virus from circulating further.
“However, we do expect the Government to follow through with the appropriate support packages that will be required to mitigate the financial and economic impact of these measures.
“How long these new measures may last and how much further they may need to go on for in the coming weeks and months, will depend on everyone playing their part.”
