The Yorkshire areas where coronavirus infections are rising – as Sheffield's rate doubles

This is the latest coronavirus rate for every local authority area in Yorkshire, listed in descending order.

In Sheffield the infection rate, or incidence rate, has risen in the seven days up to September 4.

The figures, for the seven days up to and including September 4, are based on tests that have been carried out both in laboratories (pillar one of the Government's testing programme) and in the wider community (pillar two).

The list is based on the latest Public Health England figures.

The list shows the rate of new cases in the seven days to September 4, followed by the equivalent figure for the previous seven days to August 28.

Data for the most recent three days on record (September 5 – 7) has been excluded as it is incomplete and likely to be revised.

The rate is expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 population.
