The latest regional breakdown was published on Sunday evening by Public Health England, with new figures due out later today, Monday, March 23.

Across the UK, there have now been 5,683 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 281 deaths. So far, 135 people have recovered.

Sheffield has many fewer confirmed cases than London, where there have been 139 in the borough of Southwark alone, and slightly fewer than the 91 in Birmingham.

But it still has the most in the north, and more than Manchester (31), Leeds (29) and York (10) combined.

Elsewhere in South Yorkshire, there are now 10 confirmed cases in Barnsley, nine in Rotherham and seven in Doncaster.

There have now been 4,792 confirmed cases in England, 416 in Scotland, 347 in Wales and 128 in Northern Ireland.
